Arguably, one of the most talked about films of 2022, Everything, Everywhere, All At Once stands out for many reasons including a near-continuous soundtrack.

The 149-minute film features only one scene without music, but thanks to the creative symbiosis between directors Daniels and "band of composers" Son Lux, it doesn't fatigue the viewer.

The American experimental band was tapped to take the reigns on Everything, Everywhere in late 2019, producing a 49-track score instrumental in perfecting the film's wildly weird yet exquisitely touching story. You could say they've done a good job - the work has been nominated for two Oscars.

"They didn't want the average composer guy from Hollywood."

Hear Tim and Ryan Lott of Son Lux on the warmth and surrealness of an Oscars luncheon, running out of time to write music for the movie, and how writing 'This Is A Life' featuring David Byrne and Mitski was "non-negotiable".
